FRONT

SECURITY FEATURES:

(a) Watermark

An impression of the Quaid-e-Azam’s portrait in the watermark appears on the lower left corner of the banknote.

(b) Security Thread

The Security Thread appears towards the right side of the banknote.

PORTRAIT:

The portrait of the Quaid-e-Azam appears on the right side over the D.P. medallion running at the bottom of the note.

BORDER:

The border is composed of white line on the top, right and bottom sides with a white line rosette corner on the top right side. Hands engraved borders are placed below and on the sides of the white line border respectively on the top and right side of the note. A medallion pattern forms another border above the white line border at the bottom of the note.

LETTERING:

The denomination numeral in Urdu is placed on the white line corner rosette on the top right and in English appears on the bottom left side on the hand engraved panel. The central portion of the note is occupied by the following details in Urdu calligraphy:

The State Bank of Pakistan,

The Denomination,

The Promissory Clause,

The Guarantee Clause,

The Governor, State Bank of Pakistan, `

SPECIAL FEATURES:

The D.P. medallion is running between the portrait of Quaid-e-Azam and the bottom white line. A Guilloche pattern is encircling the watermark.

LITHO WORKING:

The Background tint bears patterns relating to the cottage industries in relief. The antiphotographic decorative litho rosette appears in the centre of the note.

NUMBER AND SIGNATURE:

(a) SIGNATURE

The signature of the Governor, State Bank of Pakistan appears in Urdu above the authority’s designation.

(b) NUMBER

One number with prefix appears on the upper left side and the second number with prefix appears below the portrait on the lower right side of the note.

BACK

BORDER: A white line border appears on the right; a black and white line border appears on the bottom of the note.

LETTERING: The words “State Bank of Pakistan” in English appear on the top of the note. The words “FIFTY RUPEES” in English appear at the bottom in between the white line border. The denomination numeral in Urdu appears in the top left white line rosette. The denomination numeral in English appears on the bottom right corner of the note.

SEAL: The Seal of the “State Bank of Pakistan” appears on the right topside of the note surrounded by a decorative hand engraved pattern.

VIGNETTE: The vignette is formed by an illustration of the Gate of the Lahore Fort.

LITHO WORKING:

An antiphotographic one-colour rainbow tint covers the back.
