The Presidents / CEOs
All Scheduled Banks

Dear Sir / Madam,

Revision in "Loans Classified by Category of Borrowers (Annexure A-07)" Statement Submitted Through DAP4

Please refer to circular letter No. DS.DWCD. 3(9) / 2011-1525 dated December 23, 2011, wherein all scheduled banks are advised to submit monthly statement of loans classified by category of borrowers (Annexure A-07) through SBP data acquisition portal (DAP) by 8th of the following month to which it relates.

To provide a fair view on bank’s concentration, it is imperative to have information on loans and investments along with corresponding information on non-performing assets (NPAs), provisions / surplus (deficit) against NPAs and total off-balance sheet exposure under different sectors / industries of the economy. Moreover, to pursue a forward-looking monetary policy, demand side information (such as applications accepted / rejected on technical and non-technical grounds) is also required.

To facilitate the reporting institutions (RIs), it has been decided to acquire the above information by enhancing the coverage of existing reporting of annexure A-07. The modified template is annexed at ‘A’. Complete data dictionary has also been made available under Knowledge Center of SBP Data Acquisition Portal (DAP). It may be recalled that to familiarize the banks with the new format, an orientation session was convened on 13 Feb to 15 Feb, 2013 vide our invitation Letter No. SD.DWCD.1 (2)-2013-139, dated February 01, 2013. Banks are now advised to report the subject data on modified template of annexure A-07 through email at [email protected] in parallel to existing reporting of A07 through DAP for a trial / testing period. Parallel reporting will be effective from the reporting month of July, 2013. For the convenience of banks, the due date for submitting data on revised format is being set as 25th of the following month to which it relates. However, as soon as the parallel reporting is discontinued by SBP, the timelines for submitting information on modified template would be reduced to that of existing reporting format.

All other instructions on the subject shall remain unchanged. Should you’ve any queries, please contact SBP Data Warehouse Support at:
