Effective communication helps in demonstrating transparency and accountability. Prompt and proper flow of information is the key to reflect both. Since media plays a pivotal role in the transfer of information to the masses, SBP believes in harnessing this conduit to the maximum by facilitating it in the best possible manner.
SBP communicates about most of its activities through press releases and web pages. Press conferences, briefings and interviews are other sources of interaction with the media. Most of the communications are available on our website on pages such as What’s New; Press Releases; Governor’s Speeches or Events. SBP also uses Twitter to update subscribers about any information released by the Bank and which is available on its website. You are encouraged to visit our website and find information of your interest and subscribe SBP Twitter account.
Media personnel can approach SBP in several ways. You can enlist your name in our mailing list to obtain various press releases, invitation for events or Economic data issued by the Bank.
To approach SBP for queries, you may contact us through telephone, email or ordinary letter through post (snail mail). We are available on telephone to reply short queries, however, to provide complete information in the shortest possible time emails are our preferred mode. Emails registered with us or official email addresses of media houses help us to determine authenticity and respond quickly.
We welcome all kinds of queries from the media pertaining to SBP. Queries received are generally forwarded to the relevant department and responses are provided after approval of the concerned authorities. This ensures the dissemination of authentic and consistent information. All queries are to be routed through the Chief Spokesperson, who can be approached through telephone or email.
