Please refer to Ref: DS. EA. Gen. /2007- 2420 of 16 November 2007regarding monthly foreign exchange returns - data acquisition software for reporting foreign exchange transactions by the authorized dealers to Statistics and Data Warehouse Department. All banks are also submitting the system generated hard copies (print out) of the reporting of foreign exchange transactions through area offices of SBPBSC (Bank) to this department.

2. In order to, further reduce the reporting burden and save their stationery, authorized dealers are allowed to discontinue with immediate effect, the submission of the set of hard copies of the foreign exchange returns meant for Statistics and Data Warehouse Department. The submission of the sets of returns as per requirement of the area offices of the SBPBSC (Bank) would continue as per practice in vogue.

3. However, the banks/authorized dealer would submit the supporting forms (R/M) for transactions of one million dollars and above amount regularly along with or before the data is received electronically in this department. They are already in practice of sending these forms at various dates after the data is received electronically.
