As you are aware that scheduled banks operating in Pakistan submit above -mentioned statement to this department on quarterly basis. This practice was useful when data was also supplied on similar lines.

Since the reporting system has switched over from manual to electronic media and also that the same is being furnished on the half yearly basis, it has been decided that banks will submit captioned statement on half yearly basis with immediate effect.

This is important to note that as all banks have now computerized records of their branches, therefore  branch  code  should  invariably  be  mentioned.  Meanwhile  present  practice  of submission of such information on quarterly basis is discontinued immediately.

In future, the reporting will be made according to the enclosed format. The statement shall be submitted  within 30  days  at  the  end  of  each  half-year.  In  case  no  branch  is opened/closed/merged/shifted a nil statement may be submitted to this department. .
