2.         In terms of existing instructions of above Scheme, financing is available to sponsors for setting up of 10MW Power Projects using different types of renewable energy source (i.e. wind, hydel, biogas, biofuels, bagasse cogeneration, solar power and geothermal as fuel).

3.         It has now been decided that banks /DFIs can also consider financing requests of the sponsors for setting up Power Projects up-to a maximum capacity of 20 MW in cases where only Biomass/Biogas is used as renewable energy source, keeping in view the terms & conditions of the Scheme.

4.         Other instructions on the Scheme shall remain unchanged.
