Dear Sirs /Madam,

Extension in Shipment Period –
Falling due in FY 2008-09 under EFS Part-I (Pre-shipment)

         Please refer to the instructions on Export Finance Scheme relating to the shipment requirements against loans obtained under Part-I of the Scheme.

2.      It has been decided to facilitate the exporters to make the required shipment by allowing them extension up to 180 days in the shipment period under EFS Part-I, provided that the required shipment was falling due in FY 2008-09 (July-June basis).

3.      In case of non-shipment, the fine already charged shall be retained by SBP BSC offices till submission of Annexure-F within extended period. However, in loan cases where shipment was falling due during FY 2008-09 and delayed shipment fine had been charged upon submission of Annexure-F, shall be refunded to the extent of delayed by maximum 180 days.

4.      Other instructions on the subject shall remain unchanged.
