Dear
Sirs / Madam,
EXPORT
FINANCE SCHEME (EFS) PART II
RELAXATION TO THE EXPORTERS OF TENTS & TARPAULINS
Please
refer to the instructions on Part II of the Export Finance
Scheme issued from time to time.
2.
In lieu of the emergency situation and the imposition of
the ban on the export of tents etc due to the earthquake
of 2005 and in line with the CBR SRO No. 1080(I)/2005 dated
October 22, 2005, it has been decided by the State Bank
to treat local supplies of tents & tarpaulins made to
the Federal/ Provincial Relief Commissioners for earthquake
victims as “exports” for the purpose of Export
Finance Scheme Part II for the year 2005-06 only, as one
time blanket permission.
3. Accordingly, you are advised to take into account these
supplies as ‘export receipts’ supported by the
relevant invoices and delivery challans (Goods Receipt Note),
duly backed by the certificates issued by the Federal/ Provincial
Relief Commissioners. The performance evidencing supplies
as per above documents is required to be furnished by the
concerned exporter through their banker separately to the
Chief Manager of respective SBP BSC Offices along with Format
A and duly verified EF- 1 statement (if any) showing export
performance during the year 2005-06. Since no E-Form is
involved, hence, neither verification of statement of Format
A shall be required by FEOD concerned nor shall such supplies
be treated/ reported as exports for any other purposes.
4. Other instructions on the subject shall remain unchanged.
Please acknowledge receipt.
