State Bank of Pakistan organized a ceremony to launch a special exhibition of portraits of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah made by the renowned artist Professor Saeed Akhtar. The ceremony was held on December 25, 2018 at SBP Headquarter Karachi to mark Quaid’s birthday.

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Institutional Reforms and Austerity, Dr. Ishrat Husain graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The event started with recitation of Holy Quran after which Governor State Bank, Mr. Tariq Bajwa delivered the welcome address.

The maestro, Prof. Saeed Akhtar also shared his journey of creating and restoring the portraits of Quaid-e-Azam with the audience. Later the Chief Guest, Dr. Ishrat Husain delivered his keynote speech in which he paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam on his birthday and Prof. Akhtar for his relentless efforts and passion to create Quaid’s portraits.

After the welcome and keynote speeches, Chief Guest along with Governor SBP inaugurated the exhibition at State Bank Museum & Art Gallery. The event was attended by prominent dignitaries and SBP employees.
