Dear Sir/Madam,

Method and Period of Payment for Exports

          Attention of Authorized Dealers is invited to Circular Letter No. 02 dated February 1, 2022 relating to method and period of payment for exports.

2.         In order to incentivize exporters, it has been decided that extended period of upto 180 days from date of shipment shall be provided for realization of export proceeds from abroad subject to certain conditions. Accordingly, the following sub para (iii) has been added at the end of Para 6 (Chapter-12, Exports) as follows:

“(iii) As an exception to the instructions mentioned at (i) above, full export value of goods exported from Pakistan and declared to the Customs authorities may be received upto one hundred and eighty days (180) days from the date of shipment subject to the condition that export bills/ export receivables are discounted and sold in forward by the exporter to the Authorized Dealer before shipment or within fourteen (14) days from the date of shipment.”

3.        All other instructions on the subject shall remain unchanged. Authorized Dealers are advised to bring the above amendments to the notice of all their constituents for meticulous compliance.
