TO THE GARMENTS INDUSTRY
Attention
of Authorized Dealers is invited to FE Circular No. 06 dated
June 18, 2005 on the above subject. In this regard it is
advised that in terms of Ministry of Commerce’s letter
No. 1(8)/2005-Tex dated January 19, 2006, 6% R&D Support,
which is already available on export of textile readymade
garments, as per SRO No. 437 (I)/2005 dated May 18, 2005,
and amended from time to time, will also be admissible for
the exports of readymade garments made from Export Processing
Zones of Pakistan (EPZs).
Exporters from EPZ desirous of claiming 6% R&D Support
will submit their claims to SBP-BSC Offices through their
designated bank’s branches in Pakistan. The said claims
will be processed in SBP-BSC Offices under the same instructions
issued for Pakistani exporters, except for the differences
enlisted as under:
1. E-Form will be replaced by “Export Gate Pass”
issued by the Manager Facilitation, Export Processing Zone.
2. “Export Proceeds Realization Certificate”
will be substituted by the “Certificate of Receipt
of Export Proceeds” issued by the concerned bank branch
of EPZ.
All other instructions contained in the Ministry of Commerce’s
SRO No. 437 (I)/2005 dated May 18, 2005, as amended vide
Ministry of Commerce’s SRO No. 611(I)/2005 dated June
15, 2005, and as contained in FE Circular No. 06 dated June
18, 2005 referred to above, would remain unchanged.
Authorized Dealers are advised to bring the above to the
notice of their constituents.
