Dear Sirs,

EXEMPTION FROM ‘E’ FORM PROCEDURE FOR EXPORT OF LITERARY/GENERAL/EDUCATIONAL BOOKS

Attention of the Authorized Dealers is invited to F.E. Circular No. 12 dated 16th June 2003 wherein export of educational course books for school and colleges for Pakistani students and other running under respective Embassies abroad were given exemption from ‘E’ form procedure

2. To further liberalize the Foreign Exchange regime, it has now been decided to bring Literary, Religious, Educational and General books in the sphere of exemption granted under the above referred circular subject to the condition that the value of the individual shipment/export does not exceed US$ 10,000 (US Dollar Ten Thousands).

3. Instructions issued vide F.E. Circular No. 12 dated the 16th June 2003 regarding endorsement by the Customs on NOC of each shipment and submission/reporting to FEOD, SBP, BSC (Bank) shall continue as existing for the purpose of this Circular.

4. Authorized Dealers are advised to bring the same to the notice of all their constituents.
