STATE BANK OFFICERS TRAINING SCHEME - 28th BATCH

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for young, talented, and energetic candidates for the positions of Assistant Director (OG-2) under the State Bank Officers Training Scheme (SBOTS) - 28th Batch. Application and Testing Procedure:

  • Interested Pakistani citizens (including Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan) meeting the above eligibility criteria are required to visit the SBP website (https://www.sbp.org.pk/careers) and follow the procedure for submission of the online application (https://career.sbp.org.pk/login). The Careers page may also be accessed by scanning the provided QR code.
  • Age will be considered as per the CNIC.
  • Applications devoid of required information and details, such as photograph, date of birth, or any other important information, will not be shortlisted.
  • Applications not in accordance with the defined requirements or criteria mentioned in the advertisement will not be entertained.
  • The last date for submission of applications is July 14, 2025. Applications submitted in person or through e-mail will not be entertained.
  • A pre-induction written test will be conducted at designated centers through a testing agency, which will inform shortlisted candidates via SMS, send admit cards to their postal addresses, and upload them on its website. No fee is required for the test.

Selection Procedure

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of written test and meeting other eligibility criteria will be invited for further process including group discussion or psychometric testing and a panel interview. Candidates will be required to bring original educational and professional documents, an equivalence certificate from HEC (in case of foreign qualifications), domicile and CNIC.

Any candidate who misinforms, attempts to influence the recruitment process in any manner, tries to obtain support for his/her candidature by inappropriate means or tampers with evidence of age, educational and other certificates, shall be disqualified from the current and any future recruitment processes at the Bank, even if the candidate is otherwise eligible. Candidates who fail to provide the required information or documents or does not meet the specified criteria as per the advertisement, shall be disqualified from the current recruitment drive.

Pre-Induction Training

After successfully completing all pre-induction formalities as per the Bank's rules, including medical and psychological examinations, as well as providing proof of completed education, selected candidates will undergo Applied Focused Theoretical Training (residential) at the National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF) Pakistan, in Islamabad as trainees. The trainees who successfully complete and qualify the training will be offered appointment as Assistant Director (OG-2) at SBP, Karachi.

Compensation Package:

  • Until induction into the Bank, trainees will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 41,000.
  • Upon successful completion of the training, trainees will be offered appointment as Assistant Director (OG-2) with a monthly monetized salary of Rs. 82,000, along with other allowances and benefits as per the Bank’s OG-2 salary scale and rules.
