State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for talented and dynamic professional for following OG-4 position in Economic Policy Review Department (EPRD). The position is based in Karachi.

Joint Director (OG 4) - Thematic Division

Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Review economic conditions, issues, and challenges to suggest relevant topics or lenses of analysis for the Special Chapters.
  • Review the relevant literature and organize meetings with internal and external stakeholders, if needed, to analyze the chosen thematic issues.
  • Prepare analytical drafts on assigned sections of the annual and half-year reports on “The State of Pakistan’s Economy.”
  • Analyze macroeconomic trends and prepare drafts on relevant sections of the ‘Governor’s Annual Report’.
  • Prepare short notes and presentations related to any area pertaining to the Special Chapters as required by the Divisional Head/Director.
  • Take up departmental development projects, such as research reports on topics beyond half-yearly and annual reports, suggested by seniors or self-initiated.
  • Contribute towards other chapters of the reports and other write-ups (notes, speeches, articles, etc.) prepared by other officers, including critical review, editing, and formatting responsibilities.
  • Provide feedback on policy and economic development-related requests received from government ministries or other sources, as needed.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by superiors.
