State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for talented and energetic candidates for the contractual positions in IT Operations Department (ITOD), based in Karachi.

Sr. IT Research and Support Engineer |
| |
Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
- Provide Support in provisioning EUIT equipment including PCs/Laptops, peripherals
- Installations, Configuration and enabling the system(s) usable to End Users
- Analyze and Address end-user’s complaint calls, incidents, requests, queries and problems through troubleshooting, testing and verifying related to Enterprise IT Infrastructure and Applications.
- Serve as User Level 3 escalation authority for complex incidents affecting enterprise endpoints, secure applications, and network infrastructure.
- Provide dedicated, priority IT support to executives for all technology needs, ensuring 24x7 availability and seamless operation of critical systems.
- Perform in-depth investigations into recurring, high-impact incidents, implementing permanent fixes rather than temporary workarounds.
- Provide Technical Operational Support for SWIFT Workstations to ensure adherence to SWIFT CSCF controls and Audit standards, maintaining hardened golden images with policy-restricted configurations and controlled administrative privileges ensure OS patching, security baselines, anti-malware protection, and compliance documentation for all SWIFT endpoints and manage SWIFT machine inventory, configuration documentation, and compliance records.
- Provide installation, configuration, and advanced troubleshooting for Trade Terminals, coordinating with vendors for escalated issues.
- Provide VPN and NAC client support (e.g., Cisco AnyConnect), including connectivity, authentication, and posture compliance troubleshooting.
- Respond to SOC advisories by isolating malicious entities, removing threats, and performing deep endpoint security scans.
- Design, test, and deploy enterprise OS images and validate hardware for newly procured IT equipment before production rollout.
- Troubleshoot enterprise network printers and ERP-integrated printing systems with proper access governance.
- Facilitate audit-related requests by providing accurate technical documentation through compliance and control teams.
- Ensure BCP/DR readiness through secure image replication, patch parity validation, and participation in mock exercises.
- Coordinate for cross-department IT projects, R&D initiatives, structured testing, and enterprise product deployments.
- Provide guidance, training, and technical documentation to L1 and L2 support staff to increase team knowledge.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by senior management as needed.
- Update and enhance skill sets according to the contemporary developments

Eligibility
Criteria: |
| Education |
Bachelors or Master’s Degree (16 years of education) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunication & Networks, Software Engineering, etc. from reputable HEC recognized domestic or foreign university. |
| Age |
Maximum 42 years, as on the date of advertisement. |
| Experience |
Minimum 6 years of experience in enterprise IT operations with at least 3 years performing advanced User Level 3 support in banking, financial services, or highly regulated environments will be preferred. |

Sr. IT Assets Management Specialist |

Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
- Corporate IT Needs collection, analysis, conduct meetings with key stakeholders and rationalization of the submitted IT needs.
- Required Budgeting and prepare business case for budget approval.
- Responsible for conducting independent research and arranging meetings with the OEMs about latest product and technology offerings. Ensure availability of proposed products and services from OEM itself, or through its authorized local partner.
- Responsible to manage ITOD Store operations and take physical delivery of all procured IT Equipment.
- Capitalize equipment in Asset Management System, maintain record and prepare reports.
- Disburse the inventory as per approved Business Plan to users within SBP and its subsidiaries nationwide.
- Work with cross sectional teams from different departments to prepare Bidding documents of End User IT equipment (i.e. Desktop PCs, Laptops, Printers, etc.), Contract Management, SLA handling and other issues that pertain to various individual contracts. Ensure Compliance of contracts and SLA and resolve conflicts.
- Responsible for disposal of obsolete IT equipment as per Bank’s policy and PPRA rules.
- Physically Monitor inventory levels to avoid discrepancies, review and analyze inventory usage trends, prepare consolidated inventory reports for decision-making
- Responsible to process vendor invoices based on the service delivery of individual vendor after ensuring that rendered services are in Line with the contract and SLA requirements.
- Assist with preparation of bidding documents and Technical Specifications for the annual, adhoc procurements while maintaining strict compliance with the PPRA rules to ensure widest possible competition.

- Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment
- Control and check whether maintenance services being rendered by vendors are in conformance with the terms and conditions of the contract to ensure quality of service.
- Involvement in IT audit phase and subsequent working on various audit paras/queries.
- Submit the audit requirements positively and maintain compliance with the bank policies.
- Generate various reports for higher-ups and prepare various cases on as and when required basis.
- Updating of EUITS related IT Asset Management module.
- Responsible for evaluation of various annual bids as and when assigned.
- Responsible for performing any other task assigned by the divisional head / Department head.
