State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for talented and dynamic professional for following OG-4 position in Economic Policy Review Department (EPRD). The position is based in Karachi.

Joint Director (OG 4) - Thematic Division

Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following: Review economic conditions, issues, and challenges to suggest relevant topics/lens of analyses for the Special Chapters. Review the relevant literature and organize meetings with internal and extremal stakeholders, if needed, for analyzing the chosen thematic issues. Prepare analytical draft on the assigned sections of the annual and half year reports on “The State of Pakistan’s Economy”. Analyze macroeconomic trends and prepare drafts on the relevant sections of the ‘Governor’s Annual Report’. Prepare short notes, presentations related to any area pertaining to Special Chapter as and when required by the Divisional Head/Director. Take up departmental development projects i.e. research reports on topics other than the write-ups on half-yearly and annual reports, whose topics may be suggested either by the seniors or self- initiated. Contribute towards other chapters of the reports and other write ups (notes, speeches, articles etc.) prepared by other officers. This includes critical review, editing, and formatting responsibilities. Provide feedback on policy and economic development related requests received from government ministries and/or other sources, as and when needed. Perform any other tasks assigned by superiors.

 Eligibility Criteria:

Education:	Bachelor’s or Master's degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) in Economics or Public Policy from reputed HEC recognized domestic or foreign university.
Age:	Maximum 38 years, as on the date of advertisement. Relaxation may be allowed in case of additional relevant experience and certifications.
Experience:	Minimum 5 years' experience with at least 3 years in a middle management position.
