State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for talented and energetic candidates for the following positions in the Banking Supervision Department based at Karachi.

 

Deputy Director (OG-3 ) (I.T Risk Specialist)

Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
Assist the supervisory division in the review of cyber security risk of the Regulated Entities (REs).
Assist in preparation and dissemination of updates on cyber security risk for senior management and/or consumption of the supervisory divisions.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to cyber security risks.
Prepare list of data and documents required pertaining to the assigned inspection area and assist the concerned area in putting together a consolidated list covering various areas.
Work in close coordination with the team members throughout the assessment process.
Carryout assessment of the area assigned by the divisional head.
Discuss the draft observations with the divisional head.
Review, if necessary, the assigned portion of the supervisory assessment based on the discussions with the management of the concerned RE and assist the head of the assessment team in compiling the final assessments.
Identify supervisory concerns and regulatory violations and make recommendations.
Review compliance report and highlight issues requiring further action including enforcement action(s).
Assist in drafting of enforcement letters/MOUs, and other documents for formal enforcement actions for review and approval, if required.
Review documents for comments/feedback on different policy issues as and when required.
Maintain relevant files and record.
Perform any other work assigned by Divisional Head/Management
Keep up to date with the developments in the areas of information technology and cyber security.
   

 Eligibility Criteria:


Education:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree (16 years of education) in Information Security/Computer Science/Computer Engineering from HEC recognized university.

Age: Maximum 35 years, as on the last date to submit application. Relaxation in age is admissible in case of higher qualification and experience.

Experience: At least 5 years post qualification experience of Information/ Cyber Security and/or Information Systems audit. Preference would be given to candidates having prior experience with consulting/ auditing firms and/or those having experience in cyber security assessments / implementation of information security standards such as NIST, ISO, etc.
Skills & other competencies:

Candidates must have good report writing skills.

Preference will be given to candidates having related professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, etc. and/or working knowledge of information security tools/utilities
