State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for talented and energetic candidates for the following contractual positions in the Information Technology Department, based at Karachi.

IT Operation Engineer

Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
	Perform shift duty according to duty roaster at data center facility for 24x7 operations.
	Monitors IT infrastructure environment i.e. (Devices, Links, Servers and Routers).
	Perform procedures for timely completion of end-of-day operations of various business applications.
	Resolve operational and close of business operations (COB) issues with the coordination of technical teams.
	Execute data backup jobs of various systems as per SOP or as directed.
	Maintain logbook of keys issuance to authorized persons only.
	Generate desired reports for different users as per procedures or as directed.
	Monitor temperature of UPS rooms and data centers and readiness status of related fire detection and suppression systems.
	Coordinate with the concerned hardware engineers / vendors under the supervision of data center supervisor to resolve any issues with the IT equipment.
	Manage access control of data center and associated locations as per procedures. Maintain and manage visitors/ vendors logs.
	Monitoring of Internet links bandwidth utilization, and inform concern team or vendor for any unusual chocks or downtime in Internet services.
	Share hourly and weekly reports of all Internet links of SBP to concerned teams.
	Perform any other work assigned by the supervisor.

 Eligibility Criteria:

Education	Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Systems / Computer Engineering / Telecom Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering from HEC recognized domestic or foreign institutions.
Age:	Maximum 30 years, as per CNIC.
Experience:	Minimum 3 years post qualification experience in operations of medium size data center of a reputable organization.

System Administrator

Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
	Upkeep of operating systems, virtualization technology, storage, replication of servers and perform their backup, restore and disaster recovery etc.
	Operations pertaining to System administration, configurations and customizations (RHEL and Windows Servers Operating, Servers Hardware and SAN Storage).
	Monitor and reporting of servers and storage hardware infrastructure using monitoring tools - e.g. monitoring of resource utilization (CPU, memory, network, disk I/O and storage etc.).
	Maintain operations and deploy patch management and testing operations of Operating Systems and Hardware Firmware.
	Effectively and efficiently, participate in the Systems & Infrastructure components deployment and upgrade activities.
	Operations of Backup Recovery Software for taking backups of different systems and Restoration when required.
	Development of Standard Operating Procedure and Infrastructure Systems Operation management documents and reports.
	Reporting and maintaining IT incidents and performing remedial actions / fixing of issues.
	Perform actions pertaining to security, risk and audit compliance.
	Perform duties on non-working hours/days as and when required.
	Undertake and complete other tasks and assignments as assigned by the supervisor.

 Eligibility Criteria:

Education	Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) in IT, Computer Science/Systems, Engineering or related area from HEC recognized University. Candidates with certifications in RHCSA, RHCE on Redhat Enterprise Linux 7.x or later, MCSE, MCSA Windows 2016 or later will be preferred.
Age:	Maximum 32 years, as per CNIC. Relaxation may allowed in case of additional relevant experience.
Experience:	Minimum 5 years of work experience, preferably in a related field.

Database Administrator

Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
	Installation, upgrade, configuration, performance tuning, backup-recovery and troubleshooting of Oracle Database with Real Application Cluster (RAC) and Oracle Data Guard.
	Administration of Oracle Database on Linux/Unix environments.
	Managing production environments. Provide timely support to business team in routine based operations.
	Create test environments/instances of databases as per business requirement.
	Manage backups, restore and recovery of databases. Deployment of Oracle Patches in Oracle RAC and Data Guard environment.
	Load different types of external data with different formats into the production databases.
	Install Oracle Database engine on various platforms.
	Perform checks on all the Production Databases and take part in cloning & patching of Databases.
	Monitor databases efficiency and compile data for audit responses, create Database & Application users.
	Undertake and complete any other technology/IT systems related task/s assigned by the supervisor.
	Provide support in 24X7 shift operations.
	Able to write Technical reports, Standard Operating Procedures and manual for Oracle Database operations.

 Eligibility Criteria:

Education	Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) in IT, Computer Science/Systems, Engineering from HEC recognized University.
Age:	Maximum 32 years, as per CNIC. Relaxation may be allowed in case of additional relevant experience.
Experience:	Minimum 5 years of work experience in the field of Database administration.

Network Engineer

Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
	Configuring and managing site-to-site and remote access VPN (SSL+IPSEC).
	Configuring and monitoring Network Security devices i.e. Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS).
	Manage, monitor and implement DMVPN based Wide Area Network (WAN).
	Manage network devices i.e. Routers and Switches.
	Implement and manage Wireless LAN Infrastructure. Manage Data Center Core Network Infrastructure.
	Undertake and complete any other technology/IT systems related task/s assigned by the supervisor.
	Install and upgrade Operating Systems and patches of network security devices and software for vulnerability compliance.
	Coordinate with Internet and WAN service providers for issue resolution.
	Provide network support in 24X7 shift operations.
	Coordinate with system integrators for problem isolation and ensure SLA compliance of network devices.
	Must have hands on experience on Network Management System.

 Eligibility Criteria:

Education	Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) in Computer Science / Telecom Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering from HEC recognized domestic or foreign institutions. Candidate must have CCNA Certification and CCNP certified candidates will be preferred.
Age:	Maximum 32 years, as per CNIC. Relaxation may be allowed in case of additional relevant experience.
Experience:	Minimum 5 years of work experience in Network Engineering.
