State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank of the Country; as a part of its core function supervises the banking industry on Risk-Based Supervision (RBS) framework. For the purpose, SBP performs a macro financial and sectoral analysis for development of the risk profile of regulated institutions. To strengthen this area, SBP is looking for candidate / professionals with relevant knowledge, skill and experience for the following positions in its Financial Stability Department, based at Karachi.

Deputy Director (OG-3) - RBS - External Environment - Sectoral Analysis |
Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following: |
 |
Conduct sectoral assessments of key economic sectors having major credit exposure on the banking system, encompassing financial and market analysis, solvency and debt repayment capacity, risk assessment, and economic and financial interlinkages. |
 |
Maintain regular interaction with external stakeholders’ especially financial sector institutions for keeping abreast of the policy regulatory, supervisory, economic and financial developments relevant to the key economic sector. |
 |
Ensure maintenance of subject - wise files, registers and scanned record of all the opinions. |
 |
Keep abreast of the emerging global and domestic economic, political and technological developments having implications for key sectors, banking industry and growth prospects. |
 |
Prepare and disseminate periodic “Sectoral Assessment” reports on key economic sector to the internal stakeholder at SBP. |
 |
Manage Collection and analysis of periodic financials, industry and market data and any other related statistics of selected/identified economic sectors. |
 |
Coordinate with RBS team and other SBP departments. |

Eligibility
Criteria: |
Education |
Masters or Bachelor’s Degree (16 years) of education in Economics/ Finance/
Commerce/Business Administration or other related subjects from HEC recognized domestic or reputable foreign university.
|
Age: |
Maximum 35 years, as per CNIC.
|
Experience: |
Minimum 6 years of work experience including at least 3 years in a related field preferably at an academia, research, banking and/or financial institution or at Investment advisory/brokerage house.
