State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for talented and energetic candidates for the following position in the Internal Audit & Compliance Department (IA&CD) based at Karachi.


Joint Director (OG-4 )  (I.T Audit Division)

Assist the Divisional Head in preparing annual IT audit plan by conducting risk assessment exercise based on the enterprise wide IT audit universe.
Assist the Divisional Head during audit engagement planning meetings by initiating engagement planning and preparing audit programs under the supervision of divisional head to ensure key areas of coverage are clearly identified along with their associated material risks.
Perform fieldwork of in-scope areas in accordance with annual audit plan and execute audit procedures and test of controls and lead audit team ensuring that audit methodologies have been appropriately followed, review of audit documentation has been adequately completed by team members; meeting the relevant quality standards.
Lead/perform technical assessment of controls  for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Systems and Windows Server OS in virtualized environment, SAN Storage and Enterprise Backup Solution, Microsoft Exchange, file server, Patching server, e-mail gateway appliances, proxy appliances, oracle application server & enterprise databases 10g, IBM DB 2, Temenos, JBase, Anti- virus solution, Network & telecom ( Routers, Switches, Next generation firewalls, IDS/IPS appliances, VPN, ISE, NAC), SIEM solution, SVA solution, SWIFT Infrastructure, Data Centre infrastructure, etc.
Lead/perform assessment of business application controls in areas of Oracle ERP (General Ledger, Account Payable, Cash management, etc.), Oracle Custom applications (Pension, Payroll, etc.), Core Banking Temenos T-24, SWIFT application, IBM BPM/ECM solutions etc.
Perform and guide team for usage of technical tools in performing automated testing of controls through scripting ( VB / power shell scripting and Linux Shell Scripting), PL/ SQL, TOAD,  including data analysis through access to applications ( Q-Radar , Oracle, Temenos, etc) and performing periodic offsite reviews of technology-enabled areas.
Identify/document control weaknesses during fieldwork.
Recommend/implement leading best practices in line with IT auditing standards and frameworks.
Perform any other tasks assigned by senior management of the Department.

 Eligibility Criteria:


Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (16 years of education) in Information Security/Computer Science/Computer Engineering from HEC recognized university.


Maximum 40 years, as on the last date to submit application. Relaxation in age is admissible in case of higher qualification and experience.

Experience: At least 12 years post qualification experience preferably in a related field like I.T operations/ Cyber Security/I.T Infrastructure/ Information Systems audit. Preference would be given to candidates having professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, including vendor based from CISCO, Microsoft, Oracle etc. and/or working knowledge of information security and audit reviewing tools/utilities. Prior experience of Auditing reviews will be an added advantage.

Skills & other competencies: Candidates must have good report writing and communication skills and possess the ability to work in a team and making effective short and long term plans in alignment with organizational goals. Be an effective & efficient user of time and resources.
