State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, regulates the monetary and credit system of country and fosters its growth in the best national interest with a view to securing monetary stability and optimum utilization of the country’s productive resources. Consistent strengthening of its regulatory and supervisory regime is reflected in the performance and resilience of the banking sector in the face of recent challenging macro financial environment.

SBP is looking for high caliber and dynamic professionals for the following positions in Information Technology Department, based at Karachi.

 

Assistant Director (OG-2) - Configuration Change Management and Compliance

 
Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
   
Coordinate with internal & external auditors, information security & risk management departments, in regards to audit compliance, cyber security and other IT related risk issues.
Assist departmental teams in preparing action-plan to close cybersecurity loopholes and audit compliance items.
Closely follow-up on the action-plans and escalate unresolved issue to the departmental management team.
Assist in providing assurance to IT stakeholders that Configuration Management SOPs are being strictly adhered to.
Analyze incidents for root cause analysis and propose strong cybersecurity safeguards.
Contribute in the preparation and maintenance of documentation including daily checklists, SOPs, configuration details, incident reports, maintenance logs, change requests, etc.
Assist in establishing and implementing standards, policies, procedures and practices as per need.
   

 Eligibility Criteria:

   
Education

Must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 16 years of education in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Systems / Computer Engineering / Telecom Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering from HEC recognized university or from a reputable foreign university.



Certification: Preference will be given to candidates with certifications in any of the following areas: Cybersecurity, IT Security, and IT Audit.
Age: Maximum 30 years, as of the date of submission of application (as per CNIC). Relaxation maybe allowed in case of additional relevant experience.
Experience:

At least three (03) years post qualification experience in the areas of IT Security / IT Audit / IT Risk assessment / IT Configuration Management that may include software vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, development of configuration management SOPs, providing compliance assurance against cybersecurity standards and frameworks, implementation and management of enterprise level IT security solutions like SIEM, Threat Intelligence system, Patch Management, NG Firewalls / IDS&IPS, Antivirus Systems etc.

   
 

IT Support Engineer (Contractual)

 
Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
   
Provide technical support for Computer Hardware (i.e. PCs, Laptops, Printers, Scanners, Mobile devices etc.) and Software (i.e. Windows OS, MS Office suite, Internet browsers, end user business applications i.e. Oracle ERP, Temenos T24 and other relevant installed software).
Prepare, review, and maintain operational procedures and other related technical material for the internal users.
Coordinate procurement of IT Equipment in accordance with business plan that includes evaluation of business user requirement, coordination with procurement division for inviting quotation and helping them for assessment (if required) till the completion of procurement process.
Keep updated IT equipment store record, reconcile inventory in Fixed Asset Register (Oracle) on periodic basis and take mandatory approvals for distribution of equipment from the store.
Coordinate with vendors for the resolution of issues.
SLA monitoring, Service Outage Claim and Liquidated Damages as per Contract and SLA for different telecom operators.
Coordinate in facilitating security review, internal and external Audit and ensure timely compliance of observations.
Coordinate in estimating budget for future procurements of IT equipment along with preparing different type of reports.
Prepare labs for conducting events, coordinate during mock exercise at BCP sites and support of workshops, lectures, seminars at learning resource center and on different venues
Provide support during the Board/Committees/CMT’s meetings and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for resolution of issues.
Coordinate with internal divisions and stakeholders in different departments for the implementation of different projects
Manage and maintain software library and backup servers.
   

 Eligibility Criteria:

   
Education

Must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 16 years of education in Business Administration / Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Systems / Computer Engineering / Telecom Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering from HEC recognized university or from a reputable foreign university.



Age: Maximum 30 years, as of the date of submission of application (as per CNIC). Relaxation maybe allowed in case of additional relevant experience.
Experience:

At least three (03) years of post-qualification hands-on industry experience in EDP Equipment (PC, Laptop, Printer, Scanner) Hardware,  Software Support including Mobile Devices, IT Executives and Events Support, IT Equipment Procurement Assistance, IT Inventory and Store Assistance including delivery, installation and disposal.

   
 

Windows System Administrator (Contractual)

 
Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
   
Perform delegated administration and monitoring of Microsoft Windows Server based Operating systems and associated services, which include Active Directory, Email Servers, File Storage and SQL Servers.
Monitor server hosting infrastructure component comprising VMware, Hyper-V, SAN and servers.
Maintain and support data backup and recovery operations of systems hosted on Windows servers using Veritas NetBackup or DELLEMC Networker or similar enterprise backup software
Monitor and manage internet proxy appliances, associated services, and user access management.
Provide level-1 technical support to end-users.
Coordinate with OEMs, SLA vendors for the resolution of technical issues.
Contribute in the preparation and maintenance of documentation including daily checklists, SOPs, configuration details, incident reports, change requests, etc.
Assist in establishing and implementing standards, policies, procedures and practices as per need.
Provide Support and issue resolution of all relevant components of systems hosted at all SBP managed Data centers (Primary and DR) and countrywide Windows servers at SBP managed subsidiaries.
Ensure availability of Windows servers setup for Infrastructure systems and applications.
Respond and resolution of complains from users and IT Teams pertaining to Windows Servers and associated service
   

 Eligibility Criteria:

   
Education

Must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 16 years of education in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Systems / Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Telecom Engineering / Electronics or other IT related disciplines from HEC recognized university or from a reputable foreign university.



Age: Maximum 35 years, as of the date of submission of application (as per CNIC). Relaxation maybe allowed in case of additional relevant experience.
Experience:
  • At least three (03) years post qualification in-depth experience of administrating/supporting Microsoft Windows operating system based servers in enterprise Active Directory Domain setup.
  • Exposure to VMware/Hyper-V server virtualization technologies, Veritas NetBackup or DELLEMC Networker or similar enterprise data backup and recovery solutions and SAN storages and network architecture.

Competencies: MS Office
   
 

 Network Engineer (Contractual)

 
Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
   
Design and implement new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
Design and deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including routers and switches.
Conduct network modeling and analysis to construct a reliable, high-performance integrated network.
Design, recommend and implement new solutions to improve the resilience of network operations.
Coordinate with telecom service providers for the resolution of communication related issues.
Perform integrations for the new business systems with SBP network.
Manage routine Wide Area Network traffic engineering and Quality of Service implementations.
Manage, upgrade and implement SBP internet network infrastructure.
Research and suggest latest and state of the art solutions related Network and Telecom Infrastructure.
Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases,
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented network.
Correspond with local & international vendors for the timely replacement of faulty network devices.
SLA monitoring, service outage claim and liquidated damages as per contract and SLA for different telecom operators.
Provide support to the internal and external customers pertaining to networks through network management and monitoring
Report network operation status based on project management and priority information.
Manage and operate video call management, multipoint control unit and tele-presence recording server.
   

 Eligibility Criteria:

   
Education

Must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 16 years of education in Computer Science / Telecom Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering from HEC recognized university or from a reputable foreign university. CCNA and CCNP Certifications are also a must.



Age: Maximum 35 years, as of the date of submission of application (as per CNIC). Relaxation maybe allowed in case of additional relevant experience.
Experience: At least three (03) years post qualification experience in overseeing operations of Networks Administration. Preference will be given to candidates having hands on experience of Cisco Routers and Switches, Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Access Point.
