The State Bank of
Pakistan is pleased to announce the
last workshop of its 2018 workshop series
for economic journalists which will be held
on December 14, 2018. The workshop series
has been developed to prepare journalists
to understand fundamental economic ideas and
be able to produce stories of a global standard.
The State Bank has a rich tradition of contributing
towards the training of economic journalists
through its workshops and our new professional
development program for journalists is another
step aimed at improving the standard of reporting
in Pakistan.
Many journalists in Pakistan haven't had
the opportunity to take part in skills building
because opportunities to do so are both rare
and expensive. Our workshop series is open
to both senior journalists wishing to update
and refresh their skills and new entrants
in media seeking to learn practical ways to
handle economic news.
The series of six one-day workshops on economic
topics aims at enhancing journalists' knowledge
of fundamental concepts. The following topics
