To promote green and sustainable economic activities, the Government of Pakistan has notified the Pakistan Green Taxonomy (PGT). The PGT provides a science-based classification system for identifying green economic activities and investments in the country, offering a single, common, and consistent definition of “Green” across the board.
2. Banks/DFIs are accordingly advised to use PGT as a reference guide for formulating and updating their green banking policies.
3. SBP will continue to play its due facilitative role through awareness sessions and other support measures. The PGT document, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and a web-based navigation tool are attached as
