The Enterprise Risk Management Section (ERMS) is entrusted with embedding a proactive, organization-wide risk culture and ensuring that strategic, operational, financial, and reputational risks are identified, assessed, and managed in a coordinated manner. Operating under the supervision of the Managing Director, SBP BSC, and in close coordination with the Risk Management Department (RMD), State Bank of Pakistan, ERMS ensures application of enterprise risk management practices by implementation of SBP’s ERM framework, incident reporting policy and guidelines across BSC’s departments and field offices.

ERMS fosters risk awareness through training and stakeholder engagement, promotes integration of risk considerations into business practices and ensures alignment between risk appetite, control activities. ERMS also assists in Business Continuity Coordination and compliance related to various committees.
