Roshan Digital Accounts

The Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs) living across the world have always played a key role in the uplifting of our society through different philanthropic and social work activities. With the vision to provide convenience to the Pakistani diaspora to play their part in this noble cause, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), in collaboration with the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) banks designed and developed a platform that provides an avenue to the RDA holders to donate and pay zakat in a completely digital and seamless manner. This vision gave birth to the Roshan Samaaji Khidmat (RSK) product that has become one of the key distinguishing features of RDA.

Making donation convenient and seamless

With RSK, NRPs now do not need to search for bank account details of the organizations to donate or arrange an international money transfer. Through the digital platforms provided by the RDA banks, NRPs are able to digitally donate to Pakistan’s leading charities, educational institutes and hospitals, as well as meet their Zakat and Qurbani obligations with just a few mouse clicks.

Importance of Roshan Samaaji Khidmat in the wake of recent floods

Our country has recently faced the most devastating floods that have caused billion dollars’ worth of damage while leaving our fellow citizens helpless and displaced. For the purpose of lending a helping hand in these testing times, Government of Pakistan has created special accounts for the affluent population to donate generously, so that the affected population can be helped as much as possible. SBP under the Roshan Samaaji Khidmat, has not only enabled the collection in these accounts but has also made the donation process very simple. The diaspora under the RSK platform has contributed with open heart for this noble cause and have stood with their countrymen beyond any political affiliations.

Impact of Roshan Samaaji Khidmat

The diaspora has contributed generously through RSK by donating more than PKR 500 million to various reputable charitable organizations. These plentiful donations have not only supported the underprivileged segments of population to survive but has also acted as a catalyst for improving lives of millions living in Pakistan.
