Regulations for the Security of Internet Banking

In order to mitigate the risks associated with Internet Banking and safeguard the interests of customers, it has been decided to issue ‘Regulations for the Security of Internet Banking’ under Sections (3) and (15) of the Payment Systems and Electronic Fund Transfers Act, 2007.

1. These regulations outline minimum set of operational, administrative, technical and physical safeguards to secure Internet Banking offered by the banks in Pakistan and will be effective from 1 st April, 2016.
