Dear Sir(s)/Madam,

Efficient Management of ATMs During the Eid Holidays

In pursuance of Section 3(1) of the PS & EFT Act 2007, all banks are directed to take the following measures to ensure maximum availability of ATM services and avoid public inconvenience during the Eid holidays:

  1. Ensure round-the-clock availability and consistent monitoring of ATMs, and mobilize maximum resources to promptly resolve issues such as:
    • ATM out of cash
    • Hardware or software problems
    • Power outages
    • Connectivity or network issues
  2. Establish special help desks or contact centers operating round-the-clock for ATM-related complaints, where ATM users can report non-functioning ATMs.
  3. Ensure that the published help desk numbers are prominently displayed at all ATM booths and remain operational round the clock.
  4. Advertise the contact details in leading national and regional newspapers before the Eid holidays to enhance customer awareness.

Non-compliance with the above directives will attract penal action under Section 74 of the PS & EFT Act.

All other instructions shall remain unchanged.
