Dear Sirs/Madam,

Operations of ATMs in Flood Affected Districts of Sindh

As you are aware that "Pakistan Cards" have been issued to flood affected people of various districts of Sindh through Habib Bank Limited and United Bank Limited for withdrawal of cash through their ATMs.

2. However, due to the large number of flood affectees holding these cards, the ATMs of the two banks are inadequate to cater to their cash requirements. To facilitate the affectees and alleviate their sufferings, banks having ATMs in the affected districts of Sindh (List of NDMA attached) are advised to make special arrangements to ensure that their ATMs are operational and cash is replenished in a timely manner. Further, no service charges may be recovered on the use of Pakistan Cards.
3. The compliance with these instructions will be verified through surprise checks by inspection teams, and any failure will invoke the penal provisions of the relevant laws.
