Government of Pakistan Ijara Sukuk

Please refer to Annexure “A” pertaining to Government of Pakistan Ijara Sukuk Rules, 2008 issued by Finance Division’s and circulated vide FSCD Circular No 13 dated the 6th September, 2008 on the captioned subject.

Government of Pakistan’s has issued a notification vide SRO No 289 (I)/2010 dated April 30, 2010 (Copy enclosed) which is reproduced as under:-

“In pursuance of rule 8 of the Government of Pakistan Ijara Sukuk Rules, 2008, the Federal Government is pleased to approve that individuals are eligible to hold Sukuk, provided that the Sukuk shall not be sold to individuals through the initial auction.”

All other instructions on the subject shall remain unchanged.
