Dear Sirs/Madams,

Acceptance of Surplus Cash Currencies by SBP from the Authorised Dealers (ADs)

Please refer to FSCD Circular No. 4 dated February 16, 2007 and FE Circular No. 5 dated May 09, 2008 in terms of which ADs were allowed to sell their surplus cash US dollars and UK Pound Sterling (GBP), Euro (EUR) and UAE Dirhams (AED) to SBP-Banking Services Corporation Karachi Office, as per laid down procedure.

Further in case of need ADs can now also take currency notes of GBP, EUR and AED from SBP on confirmation of credit of counter value in SBP’s Nostro Account in respective currency as being done by them in case of USD.

Other instructions on the subject will remain unchanged.

ADs are requested to bring the above to the notice of all their constituents.
