Please refer to ACFID letter dated August 21, 2008, and subsequent instructions issued on August 12, 2014, on the Crop Loan Insurance Scheme (CLIS).

2. After consultations among Finance Division, SBP, ADB, SECP, Insurance Association of Pakistan (IAP) and SUPARCO, the scheme has been revised as Crop Loan Insurance Scheme Plus (CLIS+). The CLIS+ offers several key enhancements aimed at making crop loan insurance more comprehensive with enhanced payout, additional farmer protection, technology-driven trigger mechanisms, and enhanced crop coverage.

3. Banks are advised to implement the CLIS+ as per revised term sheet.
