Attention of the Authorized Dealers (ADs) is invited to EPD Circular Letter No. 20 dated October 30, 2018 regarding the captioned subject.

2.      In terms of Ministry of Commerce (MoC)’s Office Memorandum No.7(2)/2012-Exp-III dated December 10, 2018, Government of Pakistan has enhanced the sugar export quota for sugar mills for 2018-19 from 1,000,000 MT to 1,100,000 MT. Further, the Clearance Certificate issued by the concerned Cane Commissioner certifying that the respective sugar mill has started crushing at full capacity from November 15, 2018 as required under Para 2(i) ibid shall not be required.

3.     The sugar mills shall still be required to submit the Clearance Certificate issued by the Cane Commissioner to the effect that concerned sugar mill has cleared outstanding dues of the farmers for sugarcane crop upto 2017-18 in order to be eligible for export under the above quota.

4.     All other instructions on the subject shall remain unchanged.

5.     Authorized Dealers are advised to bring the same to the notice of all their constituents
