Extension in Deadline for Export of Sugar
Attention of the Authorized Dealers is invited to EPD Circular Letter No. 01 dated January 19, 2017 regarding the captioned subject.
2. In this regard, in terms of Ministry of Commerce’s Office Memorandum No. 7(2)/2012-Exp.III dated March 30, 2017 regarding the above subject, Government of Pakistan has extended the deadline for the shipment against sugar export quota upto April 30, 2017. Accordingly, it is advised that all exporters must ship the sugar within 45 days from the date of SBP approval regarding quota allocation or by April 30, 2017, whichever comes earlier.
3. However, for exports bound for Afghanistan and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) via land route, the exporters must ship the sugar within 79 days from the date of SBP approval regarding quota allocation or by April 30, 2017, whichever comes earlier.
4. All other instructions on the subject shall remain unchanged.
5. Authorized Dealers are advised to bring the same to the notice of all their constituents.
