Dear Sirs / Madam,

Online Data Submission

             Attention of all Exchange Companies and Exchange Companies of ‘B’ category (hereinafter referred to as ECs) is invited to SBP instructions contained in Para 3, Serial Numbers 1 to 8, Chapter 7, Exchange Companies Manual – 2016 whereby ECs are required to submit various reports/returns to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) according to their scope of business.

2.         In order to facilitate ECs and enhance integrity of reporting of data, an integrated reporting system is being implemented to enable ECs to submit comprehensive data to SBP through Web based online system. The new reporting system consists of Summary Statements and descriptions (Annexure-I) and will be implemented in a phased manner to enable ECs to gradually adopt the system’s requirements.

3.          ECs are, therefore, advised, in first phase, to start reporting all their transactions to SBP as per the fields provided in CSV format from July 15, 2017 at e-mail address: [email protected]. The CSV format has already been shared with all ECs during their training sessions conducted in SBP on new reporting system. The data will be submitted by ECs on weekly basis (Monday to Sunday) by next working day i.e Monday. In case Monday is public holiday, the data will be submitted on first working day of the reporting week. While submitting the data under new reporting system, ECs will ensure daily matching of opening/closing balances of Summary Statements of head office and each branch/outlet. In the next phase, ECs shall be required to submit the data electronically through SBP’s Data Acquisition Portal (DAP4). For this purpose, all ECs are advised to make necessary arrangements for establishing/acquiring official domain name within six months from the date of issuance of this Circular Letter to be able to submit data at SBP DAP4.

4.         ECs will, however, continue submitting data/reports to S&DWD and OSED as per existing format required vide aforementioned regulations in Exchange Companies Manual - 2016 in addition to reporting under new system till further instructions.
