In terms of BPRD Circular Letter No. 24 of 2010 dated October 04, 2010 banks/ DFIs were advised that all letters for verification of Succession Certificate should be addressed to the Assistant Registrar, Executive & Misc. Branch, High Court of Sindh, Karachi.

2. We have now been advised by the Hon’ble High Court of Sindh Karachi that some banks are still addressing letters for verification of Succession matters directly to Hon’ble Judges instead of the Assistant Registrar. This practice of banks/ DFIs not only causes inconvenience to the Hon’ble Judges/ Courts but is also in violation of the Court’s directions. Copy of Court’s Memo dated 07.09.2016 is attached.

3. It is therefore reiterated that all communication in relation to verification of Succession Certificate shall be addressed to the Assistant Registrar, Execution & Misc Branch of the concerned High Court instead of Hon’ble Judges of the Court, failing which action will be taken against the concerned bank/ DFI as per direction of the Hon’ble Court.
