RELEASE OF FOREIGN EXCHANGE FOR PRIVATE TRAVEL

Attention of the Authorized Dealers is invited to para 44, Chapter XVII of the Foreign Exchange Manual (7^th Edition – 1992) in terms of which they are invariably required to mentioned the place and date of issue in the travelers cheques. The Authorized Dealers are also required to ensure that traveler’s cheques are invariably singed personally by the applicant in the presence of the Authorized Dealer. It is once again emphasized on the Authorized Dealers that the aforementioned instructions should strictly be followed.
