DRAWBACK OF LOCAL TAXES AND LEVIES ORDER, 2009

Attention of the Authorized Dealers is invited to EPD Circular Letter No. 4/EPP 1(51) DLTL-2010 dated 26th February, 2010 enclosing therewith Ministry of Textile Industry’s letter No. 3(1) TID/09-P-1 dated 24th February, 2010.

The disbursements against the above scheme were stopped in June 2010. Now Ministry of Textile Industry has requested for payments against the above scheme to the eligible exporters. As such the disbursement against the above scheme is being re-started with immediate effect with the following guidelines:

1. The payments which had been reversed on 30.6.2010, will be paid first. In all such cases, the banks are advised to submit a compliance report within 7 days of credit by SBP, BSC (Bank) that the respective exporters’ accounts have been credited. Failure to do so will result in recovery of the amount along with fine to be paid by the bank.
2. The claims will be entertained by SBP, BSC Offices on First-In-First-Out basis.

Authorized Dealers are advised to bring the contents of the above to the notice of their constituents.
