Drawback of Local Taxes and Levies Order, 2009

Attention of Authorized Dealers is invited to FE Circular Letter No. 3 EPP/1(51)- DLTL- 2009 dated November 19, 2009 enclosing there with a copy of Ministry of Textile Industry’s Notification No. 3(1)TID/09-P-I dated September 01, 2009, in terms of which the Federal Government has decided to provide for the drawback of local taxes and levies collected from garments, home textiles and processed fabric manufacturing units. Drawbacks under the said Notification shall be allowed for shipments made till 30th June, 2011.

Now, Ministry of Textile Industry’s Notification No. 3(1) TID/09-P-I dated January 20, 2010 has made certain amendments in its earlier Notification.

A copy of the above mentioned Notification, containing the eligibility criteria and procedure for filing claims, etc., is enclosed for strict compliance of the same by the Authorized Dealers.

Authorized Dealers are advised to bring the above to the notice of all their constituents.
