State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for experienced IT professionals for following contractual positions in Information Technology Operations Department (ITOD). The positions are based in Karachi (unless stated otherwise).

IT Support Officer


Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:

    • Provide technical support across a wide range of technology platforms (Windows, MacOS. iOS and Android).
    • Testing, configuration, installation and repair of IT related equipment along with support for Enterprise applications/ software in coordination with other IT teams. 
    • Work with other IT teams to perform upgrades and migrations of IT related equipment.
    • Support end point security standards (Antivirus/firewall/patching etc.)
    • Provide onsite and remote support to all IT users including executives.
    • Provide support for special events, Webinars and associated technology needs.
    • Identify, resolve and escalate issues where appropriate to IT Management or other IT teams to ensure issues are resolved with a sense of urgency.
    • Ensure compliance of Policies/SOPs against vulnerabilities in coordination with other teams and facilitate related audit observations.
    • Provide support for specialized applications such as SWIFT, Bloomberg and related areas.
    • Serve as IT Support resource for BCP Mock Exercises and oversee / perform updates on EUIT equipment at BCP sites.
    • Provide after hours and on-call support.
    • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry to provide proactive recommendations to IT Management.Develop and maintain support documentation.

 Eligibility Criteria:


Education:

Bachelor's degree (with a minimum of 14 years of education) in Computer Science / Information Technology/ Commerce from HEC recognized domestic or from a reputable foreign university.

Age:

Maximum 38 years, as on date of advertisement.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Network Operation Center (NOC) Engineer (Hyderabad)


Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Monitors Information Technology Infrastructure i.e. (Servers, Networks, Storages and UPS Systems etc.) and provide first level support.
  • Manage and administrate different modules of Solarwinds IT Management and Monitoring System 
  • Perform completion of end-of-day procedures of various business applications.
  • Coordinate with SOC team for blocking of IP addresses and hashes on multiple systems.
  • Execute and monitor data backup jobs of various systems as per SOP.
  • Monitor temperature of data centers and IT Rooms and also readiness status of related fire detection and suppression systems.
  • Manage access control of data center and associated locations as per SOP.
  • Monitoring network communication links and coordinate with service providers to resolve the issues
  • Perform shift duty according to duty roaster at any data center facility for 24x7 operations.
  • Generate reports for IT Infrastructure from IT Management System for  the management review
  • Perform any other work assigned by the supervisor.

 Eligibility Criteria:


Education:

Master's or Bachelor's degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Systems / Computer Engineering / Telecom Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering or relevant field from HEC recognized domestic or from a reputable foreign university.

Age:

Maximum 48 years as on the date of advertisement.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

IT Security & Compliance Officer


Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Coordinate and support vulnerability management program, including monitoring, patch management coordination, remediation tracking, and compliance.
  • Coordinate and compliance in line with known industry standards like ISO 27001, ITIL, NIST, CIS Benchmarks.
  • Coordinate security penetration testing and provide advisories support by assisting in risk assessments, compliance gap analysis, and mitigation.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and network domains for troubleshooting and compliance verification.
  • Working knowledge of solution like DLP, FIM, SIEM, Email gateway, Ani-malware.
  • Support and administer IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes, including asset discovery, classification, inventory reconciliation, and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations, Projects, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance and strengthen security posture.
  • Generate and maintain periodic reports including pertaining to IT security, vulnerabilities, compliance status, and IT asset inventory and any other for management review.
  • Working knowledge of the Change Management process to support smooth implementation of IT changes with minimal business disruption.
  • Support in IT audits, ensuring availability of compliance evidence for IT policies, security standards, and change procedures.
  • Prepare patch management reports covering IT Infrastructure, Business Systems, and End-User devices for management review.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

 Eligibility Criteria:

System Administrator


Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and related platforms.
  • Maintain and monitor Microsoft Exchange, Mail Gateways, associated setup and security controls.
  • Administer virtualization and cloud technologies such as Hyper-V, VMware and Azure.
  • Provision, upgrade, patch, harden, and configure Windows servers to ensure secure and stable operations.
  • Monitor system health, capacity, utilization, and implement operational modifications as required.
  • Administer internet proxy appliances, policies and enforce secure access controls.
  • Provide support for audit, and cybersecurity assessments by preparing required datasets and ensuring timely closure of findings.
  • Maintain the security posture of Windows infrastructure by applying security updates, hardening through standards, and compliance measures.
  • Administer and monitor enterprise-grade backup and recovery solutions such as Veritas NetBackup.
  • Participate in conducting Business Continuity (BCP), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Cyber Recovery drills to ensure system resilience.
  • Maintain availability and recoverability of infrastructure across primary/DR data centres and subsidiaries.
  • Provide escalated technical support for incidents and service requests; prepare incident reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with OEMs and vendors to resolve technical issues and meet SLA commitments.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement planned changes, including during off-hours when required.
  • Maintain documentation including SOPs, configuration guides, disaster recovery procedures, and change records.
  • Contribute to the periodic review and enhancement of IT policies, processes, and standards.
  • Perform other IT systems-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

 Eligibility Criteria:


Education:

Master's or Bachelor's degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) in IT, Computer Science/Systems, Computer/Electrical/Electronic/Engineering/Information Systems/AI/Data Sciences or relevant field from HEC recognized domestic or from a reputable foreign university.

Age:

Maximum 35 years as on the date of advertisement.

Experience:

3 years of hands on experience in Software Quality Assurance Tools.
Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing with automated testing tools and knowledge of SQL and scripting.
Experience is software development is a plus.
Knowledge of security and compliance testing frameworks.
