State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for talented and energetic candidates for the following position in the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer, based at Karachi.

 

Assistant Director - Cyber Security


Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:



Safeguard information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.


Real time monitoring of security controls and logging solutions to recognize problem and identify abnormalities and violations.


Review and update Information Security Policy and other security standards of the Bank.


Observe user activities, review logs, report breaches and process exceptions on regular basis.


Drive consensus across cross-functional departments to determine new policy feasibility and impact, balancing business needs, culture, and required protections.


Perform threat hunting using different threat intelligence tools and SIEM solution.


Provide support during the implementation phase and assess impact of recommendations for changes to the Policy.


Continuously assess existing policies for relevancy, accuracy and impact.


Perform basic digital forensics and related examination on reported or identified security incidents.
Coordinate with IT teams, business departments, consultants and external organizations on cyber security related matters.
Prepare cyber security reports for different internal and external stakeholders.
Support implementation of Information Security Policy enforcement and exception processes.
Implement, maintain and monitor critical security controls like File Integrity Monitoring, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Antivirus, EDR, SOAR etc.
Analysis of cyber security controls and coordinate for mitigation of identified vulnerabilities and weakness.
Assist in development and implementation of IT security policies, SOPs, incident response plans and other cyber security artifacts.
Conduct cyber security drills and table top exercises for preparedness of relevant teams.
Conduct employee trainings for awareness on email phishing and other forms of social engineering attacks.
Maintain a working knowledge of current cybercrime tactics, techniques, and procedures.
   

 Eligibility Criteria:


Education:

Must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree (minimum 16 years of education) in Cyber Security, Computer Sciences/Engineering, Telecommunication, or other relevant field from HEC recognized university or from a reputable foreign university.

International IT Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, CHFI, CIH, CPTE, CISM etc.) will be preferred.
Age:

Maximum 32 years, as of the date of submission of application.

Relaxation may be allowed in case of additional relevant experience.
Experience:

Minimum 03 years of experience in cyber security domain.

Hands on experience of security controls i.e. Next Generation Firewall, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Security solutions and market leader SIEM solutions.
