The Disable Persons’ (Employment and Rehabilitation) Ordinance, 1981 was promulgated to provide for the employment, rehabilitation and welfare of the persons with disabilities. Similar legislation on Provincial level is also in force. Accordingly, Federal and Provincial Government establishments as well as commercial and industrial establishments are inter-alia required to maintain quota for employment of the persons with disabilities.
2. All banks, Microfinance banks and Development Finance Institutions are advised to ensure compliance with the relevant law as amended from time to time.
