ACCEPTANCE OF SALES TAX REFUND CHEQUES BEARING VALUE DATE OF 30TH JUNE, 2016

Please find enclosed a copy of Finance Division’s letter No.D.4045-AFS(B)/2016 dated August 23, 2016 endorsing therewith FBR’s letter addressed to the State Bank of Pakistan regarding the subject.

The Federal Board of Revenue has requested that banks shall accept and honour the Sales Tax Refund Cheques bearing value date of 30th June 2016 and printed with validity period of three months upto 30th September 2016.

Accordingly, all banks are advised to immediately communicate the aforesaid instructions to their branches for necessary compliance.
