State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, regulates the monetary and credit system of country and fosters its growth in the best national interest with a view to securing monetary stability and optimum utilization of the country’s productive resources. SBP is looking for high caliber and dynamic professionals for the contractual positions in Information Systems Department, based at Karachi.


 

Software Developer

 
Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
   
Analyze existing business processes and propose automation solutions through reengineering.
Document & build diagrams of business workflows, develop business requirement specifications
Convert business requirements into technical specifications and solution design documents
Business application software development and maintenance utilizing tool & technologies such as: Database designers, SQL, PL/SQL, Microsoft Dot.Net platform, Oracle APEX, Oracle Forms & Reports, Oracle Weblogics, Oracle SQL Loader, Java, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, XML, Python, HTML5, CSS3, and other web application design & development techniques.
Perform software testing such as Unit, UAT, integration, and system.
Prepare Training and User Manuals materials, presentations and FAQs etc.
Coordinate and resolve all integration and interfaces related issues
Configure & test application security parameters
Actively Seek New Programming Knowledge
Code and Deploy Applications in a Cross-Platform, Cross-Browser Environment
Document Project Build and Maintenance
Experience Building User Interfaces and Prototypes From Wireframes and Designs
Familiar With Development and Debugging Tools for Cross-Browser Issues
Familiar With Social Media and Third Party APIs
Responsible for Analysis, Design, Develop, implementation and rollout of new Applications to meet the business requirements
Perform gap analysis to evaluate & recommend changes on business or application side
Thoroughly analyze the impact of the new system changes and enhancements.
Unit testing and conduct CRP & UAT for new customization/development
Perform Unite and Performance Testing tasks
Coordinate and resolve all integration and Interfaces related issues
Resolve the issues/bugs/errors in Applications by providing immediate support and ensure the smooth functioning of all Applications
Coordinate with helpdesk to resolve the technical support calls assigned to him
Work with end users to define and test system security parameters such as responsibilities, request sets and users authorization
Participate in DR and BCP exercises
Responsible for system related upgrades and testing thereof
   

 Eligibility Criteria:

   
Education

Must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 16 years of education in in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Systems or other IT related disciplines from HEC recognized university or from a reputable foreign university.

Preference will be given to candidates with Certifications in relevant areas.


Age: Maximum 30 years, as of the date of submission of application (as per CNIC). Relaxation maybe allowed in case of additional relevant experience.
Experience: At least 1 year of post-qualification industry experience of software designing & development and database schemas in various DBMS such as Oracle, DB2 and SQL Server.
Competencies:

Excellent skills in coordination, planning & organizing, relationship building, problem solving and customer service. Strong analytical abilities along with good interpersonal & communication skills.
