State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, regulates the monetary and credit system of country and fosters its growth in the best national interest with a view to securing monetary stability and optimum utilization of the country’s productive resources. Consistent strengthening of its regulatory and supervisory regime is reflected in the performance and resilience of the banking sector in the face of recent challenging macro financial environment.

SBP is looking for high calibre and dynamic professionals for the contractual positions in Information Technology Department, based at Karachi.



 Data Analyst


Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:



Administration of Oracle and SQL Server databases. This includes upgrades, deployment of patches, backup & recovery, performance tuning and scripts development.
Install, upgrade, and manage database applications.
Set and maintain database standards.
Assist in performing disaster recovery drills of various business applications and database systems.
Maintain production system in Linux environments.

Setup Production, Test, Development and UAT environments of Oracle and SQL Server databases as per business requirements on Linux and Windows operating systems.
Troubleshoot different connectivity problems of front-end applications such as Oracle Forms, NET and J2EE etc., with databases of Oracle and SQL Server.
Maintain replication of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
Create SQL and T-SQL queries, procedures and functions for database administration of Oracle and SQL Server.
Create Unix/Linux and Windows scripts to achieve database and applications automation.
Proactively and regularly, make recommendations for system improvements.
Collate, prepare and present statistical information for internal and external use.
Conduct routine backup, restoration and recovery operations of Oracle and SQL server Databases.



 Eligibility Criteria:



Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Systems / Computer Engineering / Telecom Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering from HEC recognized domestic or foreign institutions.

Age:

Maximum 40 years. May be relaxed in case of additional relevant experience.

 Experience:

At least three (03) years’ post qualification experience in overseeing operations of Database Administration. Preference will be given to candidates with experience of supporting backend operations of Temenos T24 systems, Oracle and SQL Server based DBMS systems, and having Intermediate level knowledge of database administration activities.



IT Support Engineer


Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:



Provide technical support for Computer Hardware (i.e. PCs, Laptops, Printers, Scanners, Mobile devices etc.) and Software (i.e. Windows OS, MS Office suite, MS Internet browsers, end user business applications i.e. Oracle ERP, Temenos Globus and other relevant installed software).
Prepare, review and maintain operational procedures and other related technical material for the internal users.

Manage procurement of IT Equipment in accordance with business plan, main tasks are evaluation of business user requirements, coordination with procurement division for inviting quotations and help them for assessment (if required) till the completion of procurement process.
Prepare procurement cases, which includes fetching Corporate IT need data & rationalize it with the approved budget of SBP and its entities.
Keep updated IT equipment store record, reconcile inventory in Fixed Asset Register (Oracle) on periodic basis and take mandatory approvals for distribution of equipment from the store.
Perform helpdesk staff scheduling to ensure Help Desk coverage during on/off business hours and on-call support when required and to coordinate the training requirements of helpdesk staff and coordinate with Unit Head in monitoring ITD Helpdesk email account.
Coordinate in facilitating security review, internal and external Audit and ensure timely compliance of observations.
Prepare labs for conducting events, coordinate during mock exercise at BCP sites and support of workshops, lectures,seminars at learning resource center and on other different venues
Provide support during the Board/Committees/CMT’s meetings and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for resolution of issues.
Coordinate with internal divisions and stakeholders in different departments for the implementation of different projects
Manage and maintain software library and backup servers.
SLA monitoring, Service Outage Claim and Liquidated Damages as per Contract and SLA for different vendors.


 Eligibility Criteria:

 

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (with a minimum of 16 years’ of education) Business Administration / Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Systems / Computer Engineering / Telecom Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering from HEC recognized domestic or foreign institutions.

 Experience: Minimum of three (03) years of post-qualification hands-on industry experience in EDP Equipment (PC, Laptop, Printer etc.) Hardware, Software Support including Mobile Devices, IT Executives and Events Support, IT Equipment Procurement Assistance, IT Inventory and Store Assistance including delivery, installation and disposal.



IT Support Engineer - Executive


Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:

Provide day-to-day white glove process and technical support for Senior Executives and their Administrative Assistants.
Provide high-level customer support with a focus on ownership and follow-through with every interaction.
Tag-ups with executive personnel and perform general IT maintenance tasks, resolving moderate to complex problems immediately.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to PCs, Laptops, mobile devices, printers, videoconferencing, Skype Enterprise Voice, business application software, telecommunication issues and potentially local network issues.
Provide support during videoconferencing and Skype sessions.
Work closely with the other IT teams and Information Security teams to maintain Executive IT equipment to highest security standards.
Collate, prepare and present issues faced during support.
Installation & configuration of computer hardware operating systems and applications.
Performing various safety checks on Executive IT equipment.
Design, document, deploy, and support a wide range of technologies used by the executive team.
Manage schedules and provide after-hours and weekend support when necessary.


 Eligibility Criteria:

Network Security Engineer


Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:

Plan and implement security arrangements for the protection of the network systems.
Work closely with information security team to evaluate, test, and troubleshoot technologies and expected to identify, diagnose, and resolve network security issues.
Collate, prepare and present comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further network security enhancement.
Set and maintain protocols and processes and maintain comprehensive documentation related to network and security infrastructure.
Test and check system for weaknesses in software configurations and hardware.
Implement policies for allocating administrative tasks; keeping on top of audit logs to flag suspicious activity; and devising network password procedures.
Configure, manage and monitor Site to Site and Remote Access VPN.
Implement and maintain security policies.
Administer Authentication, Authorization and Accounting Servers.
Upgrade Operating Systems of Network devices for vulnerability compliances.
Implement Wireless LAN security Controls.
Manage Network Intrusion Preventions Systems.
Manage Network Intrusion Preventions Systems.
Implement best practices related to network security controls.
SLA monitoring and compliances related to Network Security Devices.


 Eligibility Criteria:


Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) in Computer Science / Telecom Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering from HEC recognized domestic or foreign institutions.
Must have CCNA and CCNP Security Certification.

Age: Maximum 40 years. May be relaxed in case of additional relevant experience.
 Experience: At least three (04) years post qualification experience in overseeing operations of Networks Security. Preference will be given to candidates having hands on experience of configuration and management of enterprise firewalls and gateway devices, administration and management of Cisco Network Admission Control (NAC) and Cisco Firepower Next Generation Firewalls. 



System Engineer - Backup & Recovery Administration


Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:

Installing, configuring, supporting and maintaining enterprise backup & recovery systems such as Veritas NetBackup / Dell-EMC Networker or equivalent solutions including backup duplication appliances and tape library systems in a large heterogeneous data center environment.
Configuring data backup workload for Linux, Windows, VMware, Hyper-V, MS SQL Server, Oracle DBMS and DB2, etc.
Troubleshoot failures with defined SLA, and ensure compliance of backup & recovery requirements as per RTO and RPO.
Windows and Linux operating system administration for managing enterprise backup & recovery servers including basic knowledge of OS level scripting for configuring backup agents.
Work with application, database and IT infrastructure teams to identify backup & recovery requirements, then propose, and implement appropriate data backup solutions.
Windows and Linux operating system administration for managing enterprise backup & recovery servers including basic knowledge of OS level scripting for configuring backup agents.
Review daily reports related to backups, system capacity and utilization trends and escalate issues requiring management attention.
Train shift operations and monitoring team on monitoring backups, issue resolution and escalation processes.
Contribute in the preparation and maintenance of documentation including daily checklists, SOPs, configuration details, incident reports, change requests, etc.
Assist in establishing and implementing standards, policies, procedures and practices as per need.



 Eligibility Criteria:


Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) preferably in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Systems / Computer Engineering / Telecom Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering or other IT related disciplines from HEC recognized domestic or foreign institutions.

Preference will be given to candidates with industry-recognized certifications in the areas of Veritas NetBackup or Dell-EMC Networker or similar enterprise data backup and recovery solutions, Backup Appliances, and OS Administration (e.g. Microsoft and Linux).


Age:

Maximum 35 Years. May be relaxed in case of additional relevant experience.

 Experience: At least three (03) years of post-qualification experience combined with in-depth knowledge of Veritas NetBackup or Dell-EMC Networker or similar enterprise data backup and recovery systems; experience of data backup, compression, de-duplication solutions, good understanding of SAN storage and backup appliances and networking.

 

System Administrator - System Provisioning & Administration


Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:

Perform delegated administration and monitoring of hardware related to Servers, Storages, Appliances and software infrastructure components for system hosting.
Perform monitoring and administrations of Virtual Machines systems including VM Creation, Snapshot creation and VM Resources enhancement as per requirements.
Manage and maintain Bare-metal server OS imaging.
Assist in establishing and implementing standards, policies, procedures and practices as per need.
Maintain logs and reports regarding Systems Provisioning area usage and access.
Participate in design, implementation and upgrade of Servers & Storages environment.
Provide level-1 technical support to end-users.
Coordinate with OEMs, SLA vendors for the resolution of technical issues and perform necessary tasks to recover failed systems back into operations.
Contribute in the preparation and maintenance of documentation including daily checklists, SOPs, configuration details, incident reports, change requests.
Provide support and resolve issues of all relevant components of systems hosted at all SBP managed Data centers (Primary and DR) and country wide Windows servers at SBP managed subsidiaries.



 Eligibility Criteria:

 

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) preferably in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Systems / Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Telecom Engineering / Electronics or other IT related disciplines from HEC recognized domestic or foreign institutions.


Age:

Maximum 35 years. May be relaxed in case of additional relevant experience

 Experience: At least three (03) years post qualification in-depth experience of administrating/supporting of Physical and Virtual Servers infrastructure for hosting Microsoft Windows, Linux operating system based server setup. Hands on Experience of VMware/Hyper-V server virtualization technologies, Servers and SAN Storages. Preference will be given to candidates with industry recognized certifications on Virtualization Technologies of VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Storage systems, Windows and Linux Servers Operating system.

 

System Administrator - Linux


Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:

Perform delegated administration and monitoring of Red Hat Or Oracle Linux or SUSE Linux operating systems and associated services, which include directory services, KVM, DNS, DHCP, email relay services, remote printing, user/file ACL maintenance, SELINUX, FIREWALLD and TCP WRAPPERS.
Monitor server hosting infrastructure component comprising VMware, Hyper-V, SAN and servers.
Maintain and support data backup and recovery operations of systems hosted on Linux servers using Veritas NetBackup or DELLEMC Networker or similar enterprise backup software
Perform operating system tuning and optimization for different databases and application system in coordination with respective technical teams.
Provide level-1 technical support to database administrators, application teams and end-users.
Coordinate with OEMs, SLA vendors for the resolution of technical issues.
Contribute in the preparation and maintenance of documentation including daily checklists, SOPs, configuration details, incident reports, change requests, etc.
Assist in establishing and implementing standards, policies, procedures and practices as per need.
Ensure availability of Services to users hosted on Linux based servers.
Monitoring of servers, SAN, storage and activation of services for users.
Timely resolution of technical issues of systems



 Eligibility Criteria:



Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) preferably in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Systems / Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Telecom Engineering / Electronics or other IT related disciplines from HEC recognized domestic or foreign institutions.

Age:

Maximum 35 years. May be relaxed in case of additional relevant experience

Perform delegated administration and monitoring of Microsoft Windows Server based Operating systems and associated services, which include Active Directory, Email Servers, File Storage and SQL Servers.
Perform delegated administration and monitoring of Microsoft Windows Server based Operating systems and associated services, which include Active Directory, Email Servers, File Storage and SQL Servers.
Monitor server hosting infrastructure component comprising VMware, Hyper-V, SAN and servers.
Maintain and support data backup and recovery operations of systems hosted on Windows servers using Veritas NetBackup or DELLEMC Networker or similar enterprise backup software
Monitor and manage internet proxy appliances, associated services, and user access management.
Provide level-1 technical support to end-users.
Coordinate with OEMs, SLA vendors for the resolution of technical issues.
Contribute in the preparation and maintenance of documentation including daily checklists, SOPs, configuration details, incident reports, change requests, etc.
Assist in establishing and implementing standards, policies, procedures and practices as per need.
Provide Support and issue resolution of all relevant components of systems hosted at all SBP managed Data centers (Primary and DR) and countrywide Windows servers at SBP managed subsidiaries.
Respond and resolution of complaints from users and IT Teams pertaining to Windows Servers and associated service.
Ensure availability of Windows servers’ setup for Infrastructure systems and applications.



 Eligibility Criteria:



Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) preferably in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Systems / Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Telecom Engineering / Electronics or other IT related disciplines from HEC recognized domestic or foreign institutions.

Age:

Maximum 35 years. May be relaxed in case of additional relevant experience

 Experience: At least three (03) years post qualification in-depth experience of administrating/supporting Microsoft Windows operating system based servers in enterprise Active Directory Domain setup. Exposure to VMware/Hyper-V server virtualization technologies, Veritas NetBackup or DELLEMC Networker or similar enterprise data backup and recovery solutions and SAN storages and network architecture. Preference will be given to candidates with industry recognized certifications on Microsoft Windows Servers and relate infrastructure Applications, Server & Storage Systems and Virtualization technologies.
