One of the important marketing activities of the BOP, to market the RDA, was to engage with the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA). APPNA has membership of more than 3,500 and represents more than 17,000 physicians and health care professionals of Pakistani descent. Since 1976, APPNA has united its membership through charitable, educational, research, and scientific projects around the world.
The ‘Winter Meeting 2022’ of APPNA was held in Pakistan at Nishtar Medical University on December 23-24, 2022. BOP decided to utilize the opportunity to market the RDA proposition to the NRP participants of the event. Around 50 members of APPNA from US and 300+, including residents and non-residents, and the alumni of Nishtar Medical University participated in the event. The event was chaired by APPNA President Dr. Haroon Durrani and MD Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba.
To market the RDA proposition and its products, BOP installed a booth at the venue and a team of three Relationship Managers led by Sales Head RDA Mr. Asif Hanif was there during the whole event. On December 24, Head RDA Mr. Salman Saeed and Chief of Staff and Strategy Mr. Nofel Daud represented BOP. APPNA President Dr. Haroon Durrani along with the delegation of 15 APPNA members visited the BOP booth. The BOP officials provided a brief introduction of various RDA investment opportunities, i.e. Naya Pakistan Certificates, Roshan Equity Investment, Real Estate, Mutual Funds, and Roshan Pension Plan. The RDA team also briefed the delegation about the availability of financing facilities under Roshan Apni Car and Roshan Apna Ghar schemes of RDA.
The interest of visitors in RDA and its products was encouraging as they thronged the booth on both days of the event. The valued NRPs cherished the SBP’s RDA initiative and the extraordinary efforts of BOP to connect the NRPs with their homeland through financial sector.
