IT Strategy & Project Management Department has been created to develop and implement corporate IT strategy and manage strategic IT projects. The goals and objectives of the department are as follows:
- Development of Enterprise IT strategy aligned with Corporate Strategic Vision and Business Strategies
- Development and periodic review of SBP IT Governance Framework
- Management of strategic IT projects.
- Act as a focal point for providing assistance to relevant stakeholders on technology related policy & regulatory developments.
Under the Strategic Plan – Vision 2020, the department has embarked a knowledge management program for the retention and sharing of information and knowledge. The program envisages improving work environment in SBP and its subsidiary (SBP-BSC) by providing a platform through which employees can create and maintain repository of unstructured data/information and use it with existing information systems to develop effective and efficient work processes. It aims to deliver an enterprise-wide knowledge management system capable to capturing, storing and sharing knowledge of the Bank, facilitating easy access to documents, automating business processes and workflows, and fostering culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
