Two
Days Workshop on Collaboration Among Data Compilers and Users
Over the recent years, the evolution in the field of statistical
systems required a matching response to produce quality statistics
to effectively manage and monitor the economic development in
Pakistan. In order to meet the growing demands, the statistical
organizations have made remarkable progress in adopting international
standards of data quality and dissemination practices, however,
what remains to be done is an enhanced coordination among the
respondents, data compiling agencies and the users. In this regard,
the first 2-day data producers and users workshop was held at
the Auditorium Hall, Learning Resource Centre, State Bank of Pakistan
(SBP), I. I. Chundrigar Karachi on May 08-09, 2006. The Governor
SBP inaugurated the workshop.
The second workshop of the series is scheduled to be held on July
25-26, 2006 at National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF),
State Bank of Pakistan, H-8/1, Pitras Bukhari Road, Opp. Al-Shifa
International, Islamabad. The Governor SBP will inaugurate the
workshop.
