Please refer to Schedule 1 attached with Long Term Financing Facility (LTFF) for Plant & Machinery, which was circulated vide MFD Circular No. 07 dated December 31, 2007 and amended from time to time.

2. In this connection it is clarified that in terms of Para 3 of Development Categories of the list of Sectors eligible under LTFF Scheme, plant and machinery used in the export oriented projects for producing packaging material exclusively used in packaging / preservation of food items are also eligible for refinance under the Scheme. Accordingly, Para 3 of said list is amended as under:

• Fruits/Vegetable & Processing, Cereals.
(Plant & machinery used for setting up of units for the purpose of preservations/ packaging / canning of fruits / vegetables & producing cereals as well as plant & machinery required for producing material exclusively used in packaging / preservation of food items).   

3. All other instructions issued on the subject shall remain unchanged.
