Internal Bank Security Department (I.B.S.D.) implements all
aspects of security / safety and allied matters of State Bank
of Pakistan and its two subsidiaries i. e. Banking Services
Corporation (Bank) and NIBAF. It also regulates / monitors the
arrangements / measures relating to security / safety of all
State Bank of Pakistan and Banking Services Corporation (Bank)
Offices throughout Pakistan by providing policy guidelines /
instructions. I.B.S.D. maintain liaison with Security / Law
Enforcing Agencies as and when situation arises. The Director
Security, who is also Chief Security Officer or any Staff /
Officer deputed by him visit State Bank of Pakistan and Banking
Services Corporation ( Bank) Offices and NIBAF to ensure proper
implementation of security guidelines / instructions etc. issued
from time to time with regards to security / safety.

so that they may conduct their official business without any

I.B.S.D. is in the process of restructuring / re-organization.
It is necessitated due to the fact that I.B.S.D. are opting
for automation rather than have a man-intensive organization.

Role of IBSD is to provide security / safety to the persons
/ property and Assets within the premises of SBP and SBPBSC
(Bank). Its “Mission” is to provide secure and safe
environment within SBP and SBPBSC (Bank). IBSD is consisting
