Personnel Management Department (PMD) has evolved from Administration
Department to embark on SBPBSC’s initiative of Change Management
and Organizational Development (OD) which has been taken to build
organization’s capacity for meeting the future challenges
of the industry. PMD aims to develop the minimum required internal
capacity of the organization to take up the process of change
while aligning its strategic objectives with the desired change
process to perform a partnering role in achievement of the organization’s
objectives.
Further, to provide better services to the whole organization
and an opportunity to employees of the department to acquire new
functional knowledge and skills through re-organization of their
area of work and re-allocation of their responsibilities, the
support functions of PMD have been separated to be housed in a
newly created General Services Department (GSD) and inter divisional
postings of the staff have been done accordingly. The transformation
of Administration Department to PMD and then its restructuring,
has allowed the personnel of the department to spare more time
on strategic and developmental issues while leaving the operational
functions to GSD.
All
five divisions of the department are sub-divided into different
